Latched is quickly approaching their 1 year anniversary and wanted to share a few testimonials from mothers we have supported on their breastfeeding journey. Latched founded their nonprofit in September 2017, and very quickly it has grown to be something that is more than breastfeeding.

They serve mothers, children, families, and communities in Bexar County with the mission to break through cultural barriers and to bring education and support for breastfeeding during prenatal and postpartum periods. The nonprofit organization educates families on the importance, impact, and health of breastfeeding by means of classes, support groups, and information sharing. They also offer in-home, in-office and phone support from pregnancy through the first year of the child’s life for the breastfeeding mother. Their goal is to raise awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding within communities which currently reflect a low percentage of breastfeeding mothers, specifically, African-American and Hispanic communities.

The generosity of their donors allow Latch to empower families from all cultures, generations, and walks of life so that they may enjoy healthy babies and healthy families! They would deeply appreciate your support as they work towards “Keeping San Antonio Breastfeeding” and supporting their community together.

Leading up to their birthday celebration on August 25th, 2018, they’ll be having their annual fundraiser campaign. In order to continue to match the growth and need of services, Latched has set a $7,000 fundraising goal. These funds will go towards the second year costs of running their nonprofit and building their material assistance program for families in their community. Latched thank you for your support to serve their community effectively and ethically. #staylatched
