If you are a coffee lover, you are in luck! That is because if you enjoy a cup of java each morning (with low-fat milk as a substitute for cream and with very little sugar), you are doing your health a significant favor. However, the truth is that black coffee is best! But if you add some milk and sugar in moderation, that is okay too! Therefore, you can keep putting your coffee maker to work each morning.

You do not need to switch to green tea each morning unless you stop drinking coffee and go down that route instead. But that won’t be necessary because, according to John Hopkins University School of Medicine, five unique benefits come from daily enjoying a cup of coffee.

Coffee Can Increase Your Longevity

According to John Hopkins, studies found that those who enjoy a cup of coffee daily have a much higher chance of reducing severe diseases such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and some types of cancer. Therefore, the benefits of drinking coffee will increase your chances of living longer because of its antioxidants.

Type 2 Diabetes Is Less Likely To Happen

The same report from John Hopkins states that it has been found that coffee significantly reduces the chances of you developing type 2 diabetes. That is because the properties in your coffee can help stabilize blood sugar. Therefore, you are less likely to face problems with your glucose levels. However, there is a caveat. You cannot put heaps and heaps of sugar into your coffee. And you cannot have a diet mainly consisting of trans fats and sugary candy. That defeats the purpose.

Coffee Can Lead To Weight Management

If you are on a weight loss regimen, add one cup of black coffee to your morning routine. The properties in your coffee can help boost your metabolism, and as mentioned, coffee can also help manage your glucose levels. Therefore, a cup of java can help keep your weight down, but you cannot rely on that alone. You must stick to a reduced calorie regimen with activity prescribed by your doctor or recommended by a dietician. Coffee, however, is a great help!

Coffee Is Good For Your Brain, Heart, And Liver

This point is an extension of the first point. But according to John Hopkins, one cup of coffee a day can help reduce the chances of heart failure, and coffee also has a protective effect on your liver. That means that if you are a coffee drinker, you are more likely to have liver enzymes in the healthy range than those who are not into java. Additionally, diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s are less likely to happen if you drink the brown or black stuff each morning. Additionally, it can help increase serotonin levels which can help reduce depression.

Nothing Makes Your Morning Better Than A Cup Of Java

There is no scientific study on this point, but the truth is that there is nothing more enjoyable than starting your morning off with having a nice hefty cup of java so it can start your day. But, of course, there is a reason that plenty of jokes floating around have to do with not wanting anyone talking to you before having that much-needed cup! The truth is, that cup will make you happier, and it is very relaxing, especially if you are in for having a stressful day!

However, you know the expression that too much of a good thing is not good either. The same applies to your cup of java. That means you will want to avoid having more than two cups daily. Too much caffeine can cause anxiety, jitters, and insomnia – especially if you drink it past 2 pm. Therefore, to reap the benefits of coffee, drink it in moderation and the morning!
